Crazy About Turkeys!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we've been talking turkey here at MRL. You may have seen the big turkey we're building on our bulletin board in the Children's Department. If you haven't added your thankfulness hand to it yet, stop by and ask for a hand!

This morning in Storytime for Big Kids (4-PreK), Miss Laurie and the kids made hand stamp turkeys (some of the parents decided to get crafty too!).

Miss Laurie's Hand Stamp Turkey - Gobble, Gobble!

You've probably seen hand-print turkeys before by either tracing your hand or using paint. But we decided to do something a little different by stamping our hands in ink pads. Then we glued lots of colorful feathers on our turkeys. They turned out great!

If you want to hear great stories, sing fun songs, and make awesome crafts like this, then don't miss our weekly storytimes!

Next week, Miss Laurie will be reading books all about being thankful and we'll make Thankfulness Wreaths. Hope to see you there. ^_^
