In our upcoming Tummies, Tales, and Treats story time (Thursday, September 25th) we will be discussing Fall, aka Autumn, as the season is officially upon us!! We'll start story time with our name game and then dive right into a book. When Summer Ends, written by Susie Gregg Fowler and ilustrated Marisabina Russoa, is a story that tells of a young girl who is less than thrilled to fall into autumn until she is reminded by her mother of all the exciting activities and holidays in store for her in the upcoming months. Next, we'll read Who Loves the Fall, written by Bob Raczka and illustrated by Judy Stead. Who Loves the Fall will remind us of all the different types of people and groups that will enjoy the upcoming cool months. Lastly, we will read It's Fall, written by Linda Glaser and with cut-paper illustrations by Susan Swan, which tells the different ways that fall affects people, animals, and more! In between our stories we'll sing two fun songs, and one of them will even have props!
Please join us at the Morrisson-Reeves Library from 12-12:45p in the Children's Programming Room. The room will be opened 10 minutes prior to story time so that the children can start their lunches (you are welcome to bring a packed lunch) or have a treat on us! Story time will end about 12:35p to allow any child that has not finished their lunch a few extra minutes.
