Is That You Winter?

Can you believe it's almost officially Winter (although unofficially we are well into the season). So, in honor of the colder weather, in this week's upcoming Tummies, Tales, and Treats story time we'll be talking about some signs that old man winter is on his way, read a few stories about the coldest season of the year, and for good measure, we will create a colorful snowflake art project (Miss. Beth will have clothing coverings available as we will be using markers).

Our first book this week is...

One Mitten by Kristine O'Connell George and Illustrated by Maggie Smith

Our site word is in the title of this book: O-N-E, one!

Next, we'll read Is That You Winter? by Stephen Gammell

Our stories will be followed by a snowflake craft and, while they dry,  one more book, Frozen Noses by Jan Carr and illustrated by Dorothy Donohue. One of my favorites!

So, please join us at the Morrisson-Reeves Library from 12-12:45pm in the Children's Programming Room. The room will be opened 10 minutes prior to story time so that the children can start their lunches (you are welcome to bring a packed lunch) or have a treat on us! Story time will end at about 12:30 or 12:35pm to allow any child that has not finished their lunch a few extra minutes.

Can't wait to see you!!

Miss. Beth
